Senior Product Manager required to work with a Government department. This is an initial 6-month contract, paying £650 a day, inside IR35, flexible working with 1-2 days in the office (Candidate can be assigned to Manchester, London or Bristol office)

oFamiliarise with problem space and hypothesis
oReview/analysis of existing evidence
oIdentify key stakeholders, and engagement plan
oOrganise and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to further understand opportunities and risks
oIdentify where additional evidence/data is required
2.Develop and manage a delivery plan that will take us to the end of the Discovery phase.
oWork with the team to plan research and other activities, using appropriate methods to gain insight into the problem space.
3.Organise the team and agree clear scope and outcomes for their activities, allowing team members to work at pace, independently or in collaboration where appropriate.
4.Manage the progress of the team, removing or working around blockers, and handling conflicts as necessary.
5.Participate in analysis of research data, synthesising findings into high-level solution proposals, outlining advantages and risks of different options.
6.End of discovery report detailing the finding of the discovery activities - including
oContext and current state
oUser and business needs
oPotential market size and readiness
oAlternatives to consider
oRecommendations and next steps
7.Production of key artefacts such as journey maps, systems maps, user types/personas, summary of research data
8.Perform the role in line with the DDaT framework specification and requirements of a Senior Product Manager
Essential Skills & Experience:
*Experience of working with people across multiple government departments
*Experience in agile product teams including external stakeholder engagement
*Able to navigate ambiguity and work flexibly with others on a shared objective
*Experience of working with digital products and services - familiar with typical challenges and risks
*Understanding of agile processes and product lifecycle with specific experience in discovery phase
*Can confidently and independently carry out investigation, discussion and analysis to understand the problem space and previous work
*Strong communication skills that enable you to engage with people through a range of channels in clear and compelling ways. In particular, your cover letter should demonstrate your ability to explain things in plain English.
