Digital Product Manager
Our client's Digital, Data and Technology Team are critical to helping the UK economy thrive in our new trading environment.
They build services that help exporters understand the new rules and processes in our relationship with the EU, and build the skills needed to take advantage of new trade agreements worldwide - helping maintain and grow the UK's £60bn of global exports.
As a Senior Product Manager you'll champion the delivery and continuous improvement of products and define, own and solve problems. You'll work with researchers to understand user needs, stakeholders and service owners to understand business value, and your whole team to prototype and implement solutions that are viable and sustainable.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Product Manager you will manage the development of digital and data services and products. In this role you:
will lead one or more multi-disciplinary agile delivery teams to deliver digital and data services and products through discovery, alpha, beta and live states
will create effective, prioritised product descriptions and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost-effective way
will deliver services that meet the GDS Service Standard and are best in class for government, giving the same level of digital experience users expect from daily interaction with the most respected web services
will underpin the delivery and iteration of digital services through a communicable understanding of diverse audience groups and effective analysis of qualitative and quantitative user data
will develop and manage stakeholder relationships to create buy in for the product
will support lead product managers
may line manage product managers and support their professional development
Ability to handle numbers confidently and collate information ensuring accuracy of financial and performance data. Ability to work with our performance analysis and evaluation teams at a practitioner level to ensure your service can demonstrate value for money.
Ability to get buy-in from the organisation. You can work with scant information and explain it in abstract terms. You can develop a strategy for the success of your product, and identify key hypotheses that need validation for this to occur. You can resolve pressures to show visible progress against future impact such as tech debt, lock-in or problems for other teams, and articulate your choices. You know when to move from one stage of the product lifecycle to the next.
