Business Support Manager

Business Support Manager, Schools Setting, Interim Contract role, looking for Immediate Start

Your new company
Working for a growing Schools Trust you will have oversight of multiple schools. You will have responsibility for two of its sights supporting the senior Leadership Team.

Your new role
you will be an enthusiastic, committed Business Manager who has the experience and ability to lead support services across multiple sites in the Staffordshire Region. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership team to support the schools in the next chapter in their journey. Your role will focus on the operations, development and continued progress of the schools in the trust.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To undertake line management responsibilities where appropriate, to include the planning of induction programmes, regular supervision, monitoring of performance support team
  • To contribute to the development of training programmes / learning opportunities and mentoring for support staff.
  • To prioritise and organise own workload and that of other support staff to meet conflicting deadlines in consultation with the operational needs of the school.
  • To be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of administrative support systems
  • To provide detailed analysis and evaluation of data and produce reports
  • To manage the administration of the payroll system for teaching and support staff.
  • To develop / record information systems which monitor and analyse issues relating to the day- to- day running of the school.
  • To assist with the preparation of the school's revenue annual budget
  • To be responsible for securing LA approval to spend
  • To be responsible for the administration of financial systems, including the monitoring of the school's income and expenditure.
  • To be responsible for the administration of school cash where appropriate, including banking arrangements and safe management inline with financial procedures.
  • To take a lead role in the recruitment of support staff
  • To take a lead role in procurement and securing sponsorship and funding.
  • To manage service contracts, LA Services, school licences and insurance.
  • o manage facilities including premises, lettings and associated income, building and projects.
  • To carry out management of Health and Safety within the school.

You will have excellent sectoral knowledge and the ability to provide steer to the schools You will have the ability to focus and work towards a continual improvement strategy. You will be an enabler, a part of the leadership team with the ability to provide great service You have a background in playing a visible role in a schools development You will be a clear and concise communicator and problem solver
