A multi-award-winning specialist drinks PR agency is on the hunt for an enthusiastic and hard working (Junior) Account Manager to join its friendly team.
With over 15 years in the drinks business, this agency has developed an outstanding reputation for itself, delivering a full service offering that goes beyond traditional PR. Amongst its impressive portfolio of clients are a few wine brands you're bound to have heard of (or drank!) and they're not afraid to call themselves self-confessed wine nerds! The Account Manager will be joining a close-knit team of relaxed and friendly people -egos are a no go here and warmth and authenticity is welcomed!
About the (Junior) Account Manager role:
This hands-on (Junior)Account Manager role will solely focus on one client - a top supermarket - looking after its extensive drinks collection and serving as the lead client contact. Reporting into the PR Director and managing one Account exec, day-to-day activity will include:
Collaborating with the events team on special projects and initiatives
Managing press office activities including media relations and press asset creation - ensuring consistent and high quality coverage is generated
Overseeing, coordinating and attending press events and trips
Supporting on crisis communication
Tracking all activity on the account and managing client reporting
Feeding into new business pitches, supporting on creative ideation right through to presentation
The ideal (Junior) Account Manager may be a Senior Account Executive seeking a step up or a newly promoted Account Manager that wants opportunities to develop a specialism in drinks PR. In addition you will :
Be someone who has some drinks PR experience, particularly within the wine industry.
Have working knowledge of who the key players are in consumer and trade drinks media and know exactly how to get their attention
Be commercially astute and able to confidently counsel clients on the impact of PR on their business.
Be hands-on and will enjoy working collaboratively
Have an excellent client manner with a strong understanding of how to effectively develop a trusting relationship with clients
Have exceptional organizational skills with demonstrable experience time planning
Have clean UK driving license
In return, the (Junior) Account Manager will receive:
Salary of circa £28,000-£33,000 dependant on experience
30 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Private healthcare policy
