£50,000 - £60,000 per annum + 34 Days Holiday + Up to 12% Employer Pension Contribution + Healthcare + Life Insurance

Owing to continued development within the business, a true Market leading, and very well-established Industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Project Manager with comprehensive experience of working on and championing continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves the identification of cost saving opportunities, waste reduction and Project Management of these improvements across multiple manufacturing sites.
Manufacturing and processing a diverse range of products from their sites across the UK, they supply into a huge array of high-profile clients and enjoy a strong worldwide market presence. This opportunity will suit a strong Project Manager who has a Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement mindset. Lean Manufacturing Qualifications are not a necessity but a passion for and significant experience within a CI context is a must!
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Project Manager who is driven by identifying areas for waste reduction, increasing process efficiency and finding cost saving opportunities! You will play an integral role in leading the Continuous Improvement Programme for the business across the UK.
*Through the measurement of waste and business process cost efficiency, to proactively identify the operational projects that will deliver the greatest return.
*Develop and own the UK Productivity Roadmap plan, detailing the main improvement projects over the next 3 to 5 years.
*Act as the project manager for the roadmap projects, working with Turnkey providers through the various stages from concept, feasibility, definition, design and execution.
*Produce the project justification and project management documentation.
*Ensure all projects comply with Corporate standards for SHEQ.
*Apply tight cost management and ensure compliance with designated expenditure levels.
*Work closely with the engineering departments to ensure receiving sites are fully briefed and on-boarded with the Turnkey contractors.
*Provide regular updates on the status of each project.
*Manage the UK Capex portfolio providing monthly updates to the business in terms of cash outflow and phasing.
*Champion the company CI Programme, supporting the sites to cascade them down through the organization.
*Coach the operations teams in continuous improvement techniques that will increase productivity such as Value Stream Mapping, OEE, 6S, SMED & TPM.
*Ensure the robust measurement of losses.
*Support the development of departmental continuous improvement plans by defining short and medium-term areas to be progressed.
Skills & Qualifications
*10+ years' experience of delivering engineering projects from initial conception through to completion.
*Extensive experience of leading and implementing CI Programmes.
*Ideally Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline - HNC / HND Level also considered.
*Extensive experience within industrial manufacturing environments.
*Lean Manufacturing Qualifications (Desirable but not a prerequisite)
*Strong organisational skills, coupled with excellent ability to communicate across all levels.
