Well-regarded offshore commercial law firm in Guernsey is looking to recruit a Corporate and Banking Lawyer of 2 or more years' PQE. Associates in the financial services law practice enjoy a varied working day, providing legal advice relating to banking and finance, corporate and commercial law, investment funds, general financial services, insurance and reinsurance. The team has earned a reputation for providing outstanding technical expertise coupled with commercial awareness and an understanding of their clients' desire for prompt response times and a solution-orientated service. Given the nature of the practice they need a generalist with solid technical skills, a client-centric and commercial approach and the ability to think on their feet. As well as working on high quality transactions and being an integral member of the team, you will enjoy a client-facing role and a working environment that is open, friendly and collegiate. Main responsibilities will include: • Providing legal services to clients and this will include researching, drafting, negotiating and advising on various legal matters • getting involved in a range of in-house training and 'know-how' initiatives • Being involved in the firm's marketing and business development activities.

We are interested to hear from Corporate, Commercial and Banking specialists, though any experience of investment funds, general financial services or insurance/re-insurance would be of interest. Applications are welcome from Solicitors working in the England & Wales or Scottish jurisdictions, as well as those currently working in Canada, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand. It goes without saying that applications are also welcome from those lawyers already working offshore in Jersey & Guernsey (or indeed, further afield in Bermuda or the Caribbean).
