In 2021, The Big Issue embarked on a programme of rapid digital transformation, with the launch of an app, a digital subscription model and a completely relaunched news-led website to name but a few projects. We're not stopping there and have a whole host of exciting digital projects still to come in 2022 and beyond.
The Digital Project Manager works cross-functionally to lead and deliver various of these key strategic projects aimed at further enhancing our digital proposition. As part of a newly created PMO, the Digital Project Manager will also lead cross-group operational projects and help implement PM practices.
Key Responsibilities
Assuming overall accountability for end-to-end delivery of key digital and operation projects
Playing a pivotal role in defining and shaping our digital vision
Creating and managing detailed project plans for strategic digital and operational projects in areas such as digital inclusion for vendors, developing IT service provision and data management
Identifying opportunities to finetune ongoing digital projects
Ensuring roadmaps, KPIs and quality/timeline/budget targets are achieved
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Demonstrable experience of successfully managing and delivering digital and operational projects
Knowledge of key PM methodologies, with the flexibility to adopt a "best-fit" approach
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information and risks to non-technical users in a meaningful way
Experience of connecting strategic organisational drivers with digital or technical solutions
Ability to take ownership of issues and instils confidence in stakeholders
