What difference will you make?
Age UK East London is led by a passionate and committed Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. Staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure that they continue to deliver essential face to face services, safely to some of the most vulnerable residents in East London.
We work across boroughs which have the highest rate of pensioner poverty in England
We went in to the crisis confident that we were financially stable and well-governed. Looking forward we will need a new strategy based on our experience of the impact of COVID and to prepare for the consequences on the physical and mental health of older people.
Underpinning this will be a focus on the inequity of access to vital services as authorities continue to develop virtual solutions that disadvantage older residents.
Time commitment
The Board meets quarterly on the last Wednesday from 6.00 – 8.00pm in East London. Finance committee meets quarterly.
