Job Title: Director of Finance and IT

Hours: Full time, Permanent, 35 hours a week, including some evenings and weekends

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Location: Combination of bpf's offices at 37 Mapesbury Road, Kilburn, London NW2 and homeworking

Charisma Charity Recruitment are working in partnership with the British Psychotherapy Foundation, one of the largest psychotherapy training and membership organisations in Europe. With around 550 members, they work to ensure that the benefits of psychotherapy are available to as many people who need it as possible.

The charity, a small but highly complex organisation, is seeking a Director of Finance and IT to ensure bpf's finances and financial systems are managed efficiently and properly and the organisation's obligations are met in respect of all financial matters. The Director will also ensure that that the organisation's IT systems and infrastructure are appropriate to support its effective operation.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

Recognised professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Significant experience in an operational Finance Director/Head of Finance role, preferably in the charity sector, and of managing finance support staff
Experience of being the organisational lead on IT
Experience of managing investments with external investment advisors
Ability to work flexibly, under pressure, and to prioritise and manage conflicting demands across the areas of Finance and IT
