The Business Analyst Role:
We try to design our products with the customer at the heart of our decisions and focus on customer-centric / design thinking ways or working. This means that for new products we are always trying to work with our customers to understand their needs and design with them in mind.
Our aim is to create a truly configurable, feature-rich product that can service a wide range of customers, while creating something that is simple and efficient to use.
This role will be to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and build out design documentation for everyone to review and sign off. You will then work with the developers to deliver these features depending on the prioritisation decisions of our head of product and the wider business.
You will be responsible for the following:
+ Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole
+ Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service/function/product provided
+ Requirements elicitation – gathering requirements from across the business and external stakeholders
+ Negotiate with product owners/business experts on alternative solutions
+ Work with the product owners to make sure requirements are clear and agreed
+ Create JIRA tickets with detailed requirements that developers can following during development
+ Partner with developers on reviewing user stories for understanding and scoring
+ Partner with product owners/SMEs to define & refine acceptance criteria
+ Write out tests that the developers will use to test their code against and for sign off
+ Facilitate and support product backlog management
+ Perform/coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure functionality meets business needs before each product release
Skills you will need:
+ A strong interest in product and product development
+ Write succinct and clear user stories
+ Write full test cases for these user stories
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
+ The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes
+ A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
+ Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
+ A good understanding of information technology.
+ Have proven experience in business analytics

+ A team person
Nice to haves:
+ Tester and/or Developer experience
+ Worked in an agile environment
+ Background in consultancy
+ BCS International Business Analysis Diploma or equivalent
+ Experience with Behaviour Driven Development
+ Behat experience
