Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator

Steel Bander/Overhead Crane Operator / Temp to perm / Dudley / £9.31/£11.17 per hour

An Overhead Crane Operator / Bander is required for a steel processing and stockholding company based in the Dudley area. It is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company during a period of growth.

Temporary to permanent role with long term opportunities available for the successful candidates.

Duties include:

• Operating overhead cranes with various attachments (c-hook, slings etc.)
• Assisting with loading / offloading steel on machine lines
• Banding up processed coils on the back end of a slitting line
• Any other duties as required

This position is working days and nights rotating weekly;

6:00am - 5:00pm (6:00am - 2:00pm Friday) days - 52 hours
6:00pm - 6:00am (Monday to Thursday) nights - 48 hours

The rate of pay is £9.31 for your first 40 hours on days and £11.17 for the remaining 12 hours. It pays £11.17 for all of the hours on nights.
