Job purpose:

You will be the "go-to" person for understanding of business wide financial planning, reporting and analysis. Including standardized periodic reporting of financial results and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); FTE and related cost rate reviews and reporting; balance sheet reconciliations and review; FX analysis; non-labour spend reporting; co-ordinate P&L forecasting and annual budget cycles; drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and ad-hoc analysis.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate excellent analytical and systems skills (Excel, Hyperion, Workday); strong commercial and business acumen; a strong grasp of commercial and business operations and their implications on financial performance; very good presentational skills; the ability to influence and manage expectations across the organization.

Senior finance colleagues are expected to build business relationships across all areas of the organization, drive strategic and tactical decisions, and become a trusted advisor to the organization.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Create accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting and analysis to support leadership in decision making process; clearly articulate financial implications of business decisions and provide retrospective analysis as well as drive forward looking actions.
  • Co-ordinate short and long range planning cycles across the whole of Calyx, challenging outputs, assessing risks/opportunities, and ensuring that a holistic view is provided to business leaders.
  • Communicate and review a relevant and impactful set of financial metrics designed to support evaluation of commercial financial performance.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the business context to synthesize financial and operational data into meaningful business insights that highlight performance, at Calyx level.
  • Communicates ways to improve financial analysis metrics and drive process improvements across organization.
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues.
  • Build rapport with and understand/address needs of functional/business unit leadership.
  • Provide guidance to functional leaders and other key stakeholders as needed.
  • Proactively engage and challenge business unit and global functional leadership to achieve financial and business goals and work closely with them to meet financial goals and influence financially sound decision making.
  • Analysis & Problem Solving: Ensure data accuracy and integrity and conduct detailed analysis to solve problems and provide recommendations and insights.
  • Consider the big picture, including all stakeholders, and look beyond the obvious to anticipate problems and data needs and proactively find solutions.
  • Financial Acumen & Control: Possess and apply financial accounting and reporting knowledge, policies and procedures.
  • Uphold all company and regulatory policies, compliance standards and controls to protect business integrity.
  • Drive for Results: Proactively identify and inform stakeholders about opportunities and risks to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct crucial and challenging conversations to protect profitability and ethics.
  • Trains organization on FP&A related process and solutions.
  • Customer Focused Leadership: Understand and regularly assess the needs of internal and/or external customers.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Solid professional experience in the same or very similar role, preferably progressive finance roles, including FP&A
  • Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders
  • Expert in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience of Workday, advanced skills in other systems (e.g. Hyperion, Salesforce.com)


Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • English: Fluent
