Account Executive (Motor Trade or Self-Drive Hire) - Competitive Salary- Remote

The Role

Are you an experienced Account Executive? Do you have a motor trade background and possess sound knowledge of fleet insurance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are an independent insurance broker, looking to appoint an Account Executive (Motor Trade and Self-Drive Hire) to work within a small team and enhance our Motor Trade offering, whilst being able to competently handle a book of self-drive hire business, often accompanying the motor trade risk or vice versa.

The successful candidate will be expected to be contactable 8am - 6pm on weekdays to mirror our availability on our client Helpline.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of an Account Executive (Motor Trade and Self-Drive Hire) include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage an existing book of clients and ensure timely resolution of all day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments with administrative support from our Reading office.
  • Produce and maintain accurate and complete documentation in a compliant manner
  • Respond to all queries in a timely, positive and professional manner.
  • Maintain a knowledge of current market conditions and developments in both the insurance and vehicle rental/motor trade sectors.
  • Look to grow your account through new business acquisition using your own and company resources.
  • Attend client and supplier events as and when required to represent the business.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an Account Executive (Motor Trade and Self-Drive Hire) are:
  • Sound knowledge of motor trade insurance, ideally with some experience of self-drive hire fleet insurance, but a reasonable exposure and knowledge of a wide range of motor fleet may suffice.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft programmes including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads efficiently.
  • Candidate must possess a strong customer centric work ethic.
  • Some previous knowledge/experience of handling motor claims is desired to be able to discuss issues arising confidently with clients should the need arise.
  • Ambitious nature and a keen contributor to enhance our business and your own development.
