Trainee CAD Engineer

The role will start with you working alongside and assisting experienced CAD technicians and senior engineers. You will learn how to produce technical drawings/plans using AUTOCAD, accompany engineers to site visits and liaise with clients via email or telephone. You will also assist in all areas of project and general administration as required including data entry, preparation of project records, producing technical reports, resource planning and ordering.

Initially the company will provide in-house training for the CAD and administration work along with practical training and supervision when on site. After completion of satisfactory probation period the company may support you through a HND training programme, offering day release.

The successful candidate will be driven, have a strong work ethic and be able to work professionally at all times. They will ideally be educated to A Level standard and be IT literate with excellent communication skills.
