Hours: 35 hours per week

Holidays: 6.6 weeks including statutory holidays (Pro-rata)

Autism Anglia is a well-established charity providing direct provision for people within the Autistic Spectrum from pre-school to adults. We provide a range of services to enable people with autism to live as independently as possible and experience choice and inclusion in society. The ethos of our work is based on the following five key themes.

Main Purpose of Post

Reporting directly to and supporting the Director of Adult Services in the day to day operational and strategic management of the division. Leading and positively influencing the managers and staff to ensure exceptional care and safe running of services.

To work flexibly across East Anglia in areas where Autism Anglia delivers adult services in order to ensure a consistent approach, including shared working between Area Managers.

In conjunction with the Director of Adult Services evaluating and enhancing the services, working towards the development of Adult Services provisions and overseeing these new provisions on completion.

It is a condition of employment for this position that you are fully vaccinated for Coronavirus (COVID-19) unless you are medically exempt. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status or exemption prior to an offer of employment being confirmed.

Education / Professional Qualifications / Training (E) = Essential
  • Level 4 or 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership or equivalent

degree in social care (E)
  • Up to date care sector mandatory training (E)
  • Experience working in a similar role in social care and at a similar level in order to demonstrate relevant competence required for the role (E)
  • Experience of managing at a senior level (E)
  • Proven leadership and people development skills (E)
  • Experience of working with people with an Autism Spectrum Condition or Learning Disability (E)
