Part-time Payroll Assistant

Salary up to 11,500 DPOE

Norwich Area

Conrad Connect is pleased to be working with a UK Retail company who are currently looking for a part-time payroll assistant to join their growing team in Norwich. They are looking for someone who has previous experience in payroll with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the whole payroll process and will be working with the Payroll Administrator.

Duties:
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of the monthly payroll
  • Deal with incoming queries from the Payroll Mailbox
  • Assist with the external year end audit
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation queries in a timely manner
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Payroll system, undertaking system administration as required
  • Have a good knowledge of the full payroll process to be able to cover all areas if required
  • Liaising with the People Team and other stakeholders across the business
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities with monthly submissions (including HMRC and the Peoples Pension)
  • Carry out ad hoc duties such as reports, queries and reconciliations

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a minimum of 1 year payroll experience
  • Have previous experience using various reporting systems
  • Be confident using all Microsoft office packages
  • Have some experience using iTrent
