We have an incredibly exciting opportunity to join an established organisation, opening up their new premises in Birmingham for the first time in the city centre. This is a long-term temporary opportunity to start in January, with the expectation to ultimately go permanent. This role is working 40 hours per week and the hourly pay rate is £16.00.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Oversee product storage, handling and distribution and also track stocks from origin to delivery
  • work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
  • Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly, track and trace of shipments
  • Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
  • Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met
  • Ensure and be aware of what is happening throughout the supply chain
  • improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
  • Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain
  • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Better utilisation of space and infrastructure, plan future capacity requirements
  • Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
  • Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.
  • Monitor and renewals of contracts, license as per compliance requirement
