Quality Manager

We are on the lookout for a remote Quality Manager to join a Microsoft Gold Partner organisation, committed to helping businesses realise their full potential through digital transformation.

As Quality Manager, you will lead quality improvement and qualification delivery within the education team, ensuring quality standards are maintained for both apprenticeship frameworks (Wales) and standards. You will also be responsible for supporting training and ongoing professional development for the delivery team and facilitate the development of new apprenticeship qualifications. Further activities and responsibilities are detailed below.

For this role, you must hold or be able to successfully achieve and maintain NPPV3 with SC. Level 4 (or above) qualification in related vocational subject is essential as well as experience of curriculum development and leading or managing a team. Further requirements are listed below.

The salary for this position is circa £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus car allowance.

Further Duties

Managing and supporting assessors/trainers to ensure quality and consistency of assessment and training
Conducting formative and summative internal verification and quality checks
Monitoring and assessing assessor/trainer development and practice
Updating and developing Apprenticeship Standards in line with Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
Liaising with partners and Employer Engagement Managers
Acting as Internal Quality Assurer, managing standardisation process and supporting Internal Verifiers during Audit visits
Following the guidance issued by the Awarding Body, OFSTED and ESFA with regard to assessment/training practice and the completion of relevant documentation.
Full compliance with company policy and partner Quality Assurance systems to ensure consistency and continuous improvement, liaising with appropriate internal and external staff to ensure that systems in support of assessment, training, verification and additional support are fully implemented.
Undertaking staff development appropriate to the contractual requirements of the post and the needs of the department.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in the role, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Must hold or be able to successfully achieve and maintain NPPV3 with SC.
Assessor Award
Full Level 4 (or above) qualification in related vocational subject
Appropriate professional experience
Experience of internal verification, planning and implementation
Experience of leading/managing a team
Experience of curriculum development
Good (grade 2) or outstanding (grade 1) observation outcome profile
Knowledge of current developments in vocational area
Knowledge of national developments in Further Education
Knowledge of quality assurance and improvement processes
Able to evidence excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
