A Leading University Social Research Institute

COVID-19 Hub Project Manager
Start: 13th Dec
End date: 31st March
Role will be largely remote working - there could be the odd meeting throughout the project but this would be very rare.

We can be flexible in working hours and FTE - equivalent of 18.25hrs per week (3 days)
£18-£22 depending on exp.

Context

Containing all the new surveys, data releases, latest research and evidence in one place the Covid research Hub (C-19 Hub) is a one-stop resource for researchers, parliamentarians and policy makers, now and in the future. Since its launch in June 2020, the C-19 Hub has established itself as a trusted source of information and insights across the research and policy landscapes. Our client has secured enhancement funding to create a stand-alone C-19 Hub website and produce a showcase animation introducing users to the C-19 Hub. This funding will provide support expansions and upgrades to existing social science data infrastructure.

Main purpose of the job

The COVID-19 Hub Project Manager is a temporary, part-time position that will have sole responsibility for the project management and delivery of the C-19 Hub website development and C-19 Hub showcase animation. Enhancements to the C-19 Hub will focus on improving the visibility, design, navigation and interactiveness, and enable the capability to add a wider range of content, e.g., infographics and animations. The postholder will work closely with the C-19 Hub Principal Investigator, CLOSER COVID-19 Taskforce and CLOSER communications team. The postholder will be expected to play a role in the financial management of the C-19 Hub enhancement grant, including managing and monitoring expenditure.

Duties and responsibilities

* Undertake the procurement and management of external consultants, contractors, and suppliers in line with processes.
* Provide an interface between the COVID-19 Taskforce and consultant project managers, design teams and contractors.
* Manage external consultant teams so that the two projects are delivered within time constraints and to agreed quality and budget.
* Attend COVID-19 Taskforce meetings, and other relevant meetings as required.
* To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.
