GiBe Finance are delighted to be supporting a boutique hospitality group in Surrey, recruiting a Group Finance Director across their portfolio.

The role has complete Finance responsibility across the businesses and relevant teams - reviewing the work of Finance teams and strategising with shareholders.

Salary is £110 - 130k + benefits.

The Role
  • Leadership of the finance function for relevant departments and all commercial entities
  • A full board level review of all existing software, personnel, and processes to ensure best in class functions and visibility for the business and to provide timely and accurate production of all financial & management information, including detailed board pack, appraisals, recommendations, project planner, prompt monthly management accounts, reports to banks & investors & analysis of KPIs with operational management to help identify revenue growth & cost savings.
  • Implement audit process and measures to ensure we stay within our covenants and authorisation levels
  • Lead all existing contracts, processes & reporting requirements & ensure successful implementation of Netsuite accounting & reporting software, and IT and security
  • Introduce a robust system to set & monitor detailed monthly & annual targets/budgets derived from business plan 'Model' used to evaluate acquisitions, capital expenditure & investment decisions
  • Consolidation of group entities including acquisitions
  • Leadership and responsibility for the growth of the accounting department
  • Lead contact for tax related matters including Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE including group tax planning & implementation of tax structures
  • Lead contact for Insurance, compliance & risk management
  • Responsibility for all financial aspects of procurement policies, contracts & systems ensuring group costs minimised & profit maximised
  • Lead contact with auditors
  • Management of cashflow, ensuring cash and bank balances are accurately forecast and tracked and all receipts and payments are in accordance with commercial terms
  • Supervision and review of weekly/monthly payments
  • Management of all treasury matters ensuring including bank deposits & loan facilities, including adherence to bank covenants
  • Management & overall responsibility for financial, accounting & tax aspects of payroll function including pensions, salary sacrifice, insurances and wellbeing
  • Management & overall responsibility for all company secretarial & compliance matters including advising on effective corporate structure
  • Assist with the fundraising process for new projects & business plan implementation

Your Profile
  • Experienced Finance Director within hospitality/leisure sector
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA
  • Decisive nature and effective communicator - written and verbal
  • Strong Excel skills - happy to both strategise and get into the detail
