Primary Teacher required for a welcoming school based in Preston, seeking targeted intervention across Key Stages 1 and 2, due to the impact of school closures in response to COVID-19.

Key role highlights:

Role: Part-time Primary Teacher, flexible hours, Term time only.

Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK or equivalent.

Applications welcome from Education Support Practitioners with previous experience working within a similar capacity as well as a suitable qualification within English.

Location: Preston, Lancashire.

Salary: £20 - £35 per hour.

Start Date: January 2022 or earlier.

Roles and responsibilities:

The incoming candidate will be required to deliver targeted English session on a 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 basis across multiple year groups, ensuring their progress and welfare. You will be leading a timetable developed by the school: developing resources and sessions to accommodate a range of learning abilities, with full support provided.

You must also, monitor pupil progress in line with learning outcomes and review feedback, due to the wide variety of learning needs you will be working with and other barriers to learning. As the successful applicant, you must be able to demonstrate experience of reaching positive outcomes for students, in addition to making a difference in their lives and outcomes.

Essential Requirements:
  • PGCE, QTS, or any previous experience working within a similar capacity, particularly across multiple year-groups, is highly advantageous.
  • Any experience working with, and knowledge of SEN is highly beneficial.
  • Level 2 safeguarding trained within the last 12 months, or complete the training with us, free of charge.
  • Able to plan and deliver targeted sessions with enthusiasm and creativity.
