Interim Accountant / Business Partner

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Local Authority in Staffordshire to recruit an Accountant / Business Partner on a 12 Month interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to add value to a Council going through a period of progressive change, and offers significant flexible working.

Role;

Working within one of the directorates, you will assist in the direct responsibility of more complex budgets

Duties;

• Providing a comprehensive management and financial accounting service to key directorates
• Take ownership of departmental budgeting and forecasting
• Building influential relationships with senior stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities for business improvements and efficiencies
• Ensuring robust financial controls are in place and financial risk is understood

The person;

• CCAB/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
• Experience within Local Government finance
