Location: Parkhouse, Carlisle

To support the Financial Delivery Team (FDT) in facilitating the delivery of cost improvement and transformation schemes by providing specific project support across the Trust(s)

To facilitate the delivery of key work streams and projects as determined by the FDT and Financial Delivery Group

Support the Care Group and Support Service teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects and CIP schemes is planned, managed, risk mitigated and delivered effectively

Role in the Department

You will have the opportunity to hold a key role at a very exciting time for a Trust coming together for the first time operationally to deliver a range of multi-site directorate service transformation projects and cross cutting schemes. You will lead stakeholder engagement, reporting, planning and delivery of service reconfiguration, financial delivery, CIP realisation and improvement projects across a range of operational areas

You will be working closely with a wide variety of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high quality patient centred service delivery across the organisation.

The Trust(s) are currently working with our operational teams to identify the opportunities and focus of the transformation schemes for the coming year. You will be required to work with one or more of the following services, depending upon the scheme, to develop at any time, quantify, deliver and embed the agreed changes.

You will be required to work closely with key stakeholders within the Trust(s) to facilitate the changes required. You will be required to build strong working relationships and use these to ensure ownership, understanding and support for the overall programme.

You will be a key part of the Trust's Financial Delivery Team and you will be accountable to the Deputy Head of that Team. On a day to day basis, aligned to the portfolio of projects you are responsible for, you will have an operational line of responsibility to the relevant lead officer for that project. There is an overarching CIP programme that will be linked to the transformation projects and this will be monitored in the FDT and the Financial Delivery Group to ensure delivery against plan.

You will already be an experienced project manager and change agent with a strong and proven skill set in financial and cost improvement delivery through tactical and transformational schemes. You will receive additional support and training to deliver the requirements of the role and to ensure your ongoing professional development. You will also have peer support from your colleagues in the project teams and Financial Delivery Team.

You will provide overall management for complex projects that cross sites and Trust(s) with the aim of delivering improved clinical and financial performance.
