I am recruiting an Interim Finance Manager to complete a 3 month contract with a large manufacturing company based in Ellesmere Port.

You will be responsible for managing the financial accounting procedures, systems and reports, as well as assisting with year-end procedures and any other ad hoc project work as required.

Duties Include:

Financial Accounting
  • Manage the company's Financial Accounting procedures, systems and reports, ensure integrity of the B/S, manage capex and FAR, carry out routine month end procedures to ensure submission of timely & accurate monthly management accounts
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and manage external audit
  • Within specified timelines, provide high quality financial information in response to ad-hoc requests determined by the needs of the business.
  • Proactively highlight relevant issues, in order to support other departments. Implement Finance projects & initiatives.
  • Develop & strengthen internal reporting to assist in the review of results, trends and forecasts, especially in relation to AR, AP and cashflow

Tax
  • Be responsible for compliance with HMRC Revenue regulations (such as VAT/ corporation tax computation & capital allowances/ PAYE payment) and alerting the company to relevant upcoming changes in legislation. Liaise with external tax advisors as necessary
  • Cashflow
  • Monitor cash flows, forecast and weekly cash position, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet on-going needs. Oversee AR / AP management & credit control.

Team management
  • Manage, engage and develop the F team, ensuring a high level of customer service to other departments, and maintaining good morale amongst the team

Systems
  • Work closely with IT developers on systems upgrade and UAT to ensure smooth transition to new system and ongoing developments


The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and must be available to start work on minimal notice.
Strong Excel and ERP systems skills are essential.

CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified, Part Qualified or suitable Qualified By Experience.
