Data Governance Records Manager - Senior Manager

Your new company
A financial services client in Surrey are looking to hire a brand new role as the headcount is to support the growing business.

Your new role
You will be assisting the business to understand the record management life cycle and how to optimise the controls and procedures that ensure compliance with the company policy.
You will also provide guidance on the specific record retention schedules for data records categories for both structured and unstructured data sets in order to mitigate the risk of of over-retaining data and the accumulation of ROT across the data stores. Some more duties below:
  • Coordinates and facilitates Records Management improvements for the benefit of the business, e.g. forms a link between practitioners and senior leaders in the organisation, to ensure that Records Management good practice and guidance are rolled out throughout the organisation.
  • Manages the records management oversight for data governance team, escalates to the head of data governance as and when needed, utilises the data oversight structure to establish good oversight practices for records management

Essential Data Governance Records Manager experience
  • 5+ years Records Management experience
  • Experience in a large business rolling out large programmes of work

Nice to have Data Governance Records Manager experience
  • Knowledge of record management systems (Microsoft Office 365, Record Retention Schedule Systems) or Collibra
