An Indirect Tax Manager is required for an exciting global business which is a world leader and pioneer in it's sector.

The group tax team strives to be a world class tax function with the mission to be a respected partner creating sustainable value and leading change.

The company's global indirect tax footprint is expanding. In particular, there is an increase in indirect tax complexity as a result of significantly evolving business models which give rise to material indirect tax risks and opportunities. Furthermore, the implementation of the group's indirect tax strategy requires management in support of Group Tax's vision.

The purpose of this role is to manage and provide dedicated indirect tax business partnering support to the global group functions; to support implementation of the global indirect tax strategy aligned to the group's Tax Operating Model.
  • Identify indirect tax risks and opportunities arising from the Group's evolving business model, to assist in the development of solutions and actions as required to deliver / protect value for the Group in line with the Group's Global Indirect Tax Strategy.
  • Identify indirect tax risks and opportunities arising from the Group's evolving business model and assist in the development of solutions and actions as required to deliver / protect value for the Group in line with the Group's Tax Operating Framework.
  • Manage development of further strategic priorities and focus areas for Group Tax from work being lead or undertaken by other Business Units and / or Corporate Functions as a result of further business model change.
  • Manage and provide indirect tax support to relevant parts of the Group, including functions with Group T&S with a view to identifying risk and opportunities and implementing advice and / or solutions as appropriate.
  • Manage the implementation of identified strategic priorities and initiatives, including the communication required at different levels of the organisation.
  • Manage external professional service providers on indirect tax matters where required.
  • Develops and maintains an advanced understanding of domestic and international tax laws and understands how these apply to the business. Proactively identifies risks emerging from changes and trends in tax laws and raises these where necessary. Provides strategic input and advice regarding responses made to tax authorities and flags where additional communication with them is needed, including the potential for disputes to turn into litigation
