NTP Tutor required for a primary academy based in Preston, Lancashire, starting from January 2022 or earlier.

Key role highlights:

Role: Part-timeNTP Tutor (Key stage 1- 3).

Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK or equivalent, alongside a suitable qualification within English.

Applications welcome from Education Support Practitioners with previous experience working within a similar capacity.

Location: Preston, Lancashire.

Salary: £20 - £35 per hour.

Start Date: January 2022 or earlier.

Roles and responsibilities:

The incoming teacher will be delivering targeted reading, writing and Phonics intervention for pupils, within multiple year groups, ensuring their progress and welfare. You will be leading a timetable developed by the school: developing resources and sessions to accommodate a range of learning abilities, with full support provided. You must also, monitor pupil progress in line with learning outcomes and review feedback, due to the wide variety of learning needs you will be working with and other barriers to learning.

Essential Requirements:
  • PGCE, QTS, or any previous experience working within a similar capacity, particularly across multiple year-groups, is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with and knowledge of SEN/complex needs.
  • Level 2 safeguarding trained within the last 12 months, or complete the training with us, free of charge.
  • Able to plan and deliver targeted sessions with enthusiasm and creativity.
