Reporting straight to the Group Holdings Accountant, you will be liable for supporting the Holdings group in conveying an incredible service to the entire and to outer stakeholders. Description

Key responsibilities for this Assistant Accountant:
  • Month end & management accounts - [Key contributor to the delivery of monthly management accounts, including P&L variance analysis and reporting to budget holders]
  • General ledger management - [Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis, including fixed asset registers, accruals, prepayments , sales and purchase ledgers.]
  • Cash management - [Cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, processing of supplier payments, revaluation of foreign currency bank accounts]
  • Accounts payable - [Manage purchase ledger, supplier queries, invoice entry, payments and account reconciliations]
  • Accounts receivable - [Manage inter-company sales ledger including cash collection]
  • Taxation - [Production of the company's quarterly VAT return and assist with production of year- end corporation tax information]
  • Forecasting and budgeting - [Assist with the production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts]
  • Payroll - [working with outsourced payroll providers, assist with payroll input data, payroll journals and year end benefits review]
  • Other - [Assisting the Holdings Accounting in any ad-hoc projects and financial reporting as required by the wider Group business]

Profile

The successful candidate for the Assistant Accountant position will have the following attributes:

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • AAT qualified, seeking to progress to CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Knowledge and use ERP accounting systems [knowledge of Dynamics 365 advantageous]
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge and skills, particularly Excel
  • Adept written and verbal communication skills
