A client of Vivid's is looking for a public health improvement lead to assist one of their local authority clients in the NW. It's joining a progressive and large team who have a keen focus on improving the lives of the people in their district.
The main idea of the post is as follows;
To provide strategic leadership capacity with the Public Health Directorate
To provide strategic leadership for population health improvement, with a strong focus on the wider determinants and reducing health inequalities and evidence-informed approaches.
To provide strategic leadership for population health improvement working across a wide range of statutory and non-statutory agencies, and community and voluntary organisations in the development of effective partnerships and evidence-informed approaches.
To provide strategic and strong leadership in the development and implementation of public health strategies and policies, to protect and improve health and life expectancy and to reduce inequalities across the council.
To support the Assistant Director / Consultant in Public Health in formulating the strategic direction, priorities and plans for the directorate for population health improvement and evidence-informed approaches.

The contract is 3-5 days per week, fully remote and would look at a start before or after Christmas.
