Management Accountant

Halliday Marx are excited to partner with a fast growing company within the professional services industry. My client is looking for a Management Accountant to join the team

Duties:
  • Posting of journal entries
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly financial statements
  • Reporting of financial results in compliance with statutory requirements (including US GAAP reconciliation)
  • Payroll responsibilities
  • Monthly variance analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet along with commentaries.
  • liaising with FP&A
  • Producing Cash flow forecasts for two entities
  • Reviewing the monthly VAT return and assisting tax advisors with VAT reports and queries
  • Intercompany reconciliation and settlements
  • Completion of various quarterly and annual national surveys within the Netherlands
  • Producing statutory accounts and working closely with auditors

Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and control skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • You will be a Finalist, Qualified by Experience or Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Detail orientated with a propensity towards leaving a clear audit trail in your work
  • A strong aptitude for problem solving with an ability to interpret and compile a broad range of capital accounting analysis and evaluate options
  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of IFRS and statutory consolidation procedures in a medium to large size company
  • Experience and/or aptitude to understand and effectively apply accounting / tax treatments to investment decisions
  • Knowledge of corporation tax, capital allowances and deferred tax
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise workload based on impact and risk
  • A strong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships across the group
  • Able to work independently and with others under own initiative without close supervision
  • Willing to work flexibly during periods of peak workload in order to meet deadlines
  • An active advocate of strong financial controls
