The Group Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of financial accounts for multiple entities along with the maintenance of the the statutory records. Working alongside company directors in the financial management of their entities.

Client Details

My client, based in East London are the Accounting division of a Family Investment Office with a growing portfolio of investments in commercial properties. They are also responsible for the financial management of a number of SME's based in the both UK, Singapore and France.


The Group Accountant will be responsible for the following:
  • Preparation of draft year end accounts for about 10 entities
  • Prepare and submit Companies House statutory filing requirements
  • Bank reconciliations, journal posting, processing sales / purchase invoices, posting receipts / payments double entry bookkeeping
  • Overseeing/Raising and sending out sales invoices
  • Varied duties dealing with mainly small volume, high value transactions for Rents and Inter Company Charges etc. with Tenant Companies and other entities based in the UK or overseas
  • Assisting with other statutory filings for some overseas entities
  • Preparation of consolidated Accounts where needed
  • Preparation and submission of monthly / quarterly VAT returns
  • Processing of expenses
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Collating management information to assist Directors in making informed decisions regarding investments


The successful Group Accountant:
  • 3+ years previous end to end account management experience working for Directors/Senior Management is essential
  • Accounts Production and related activities for SMEs in an Accountancy practice (preferable)
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified
  • Experience with Barclays.NET and SAGE Accountancy software desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • You will be highly organised self starter who thrives in a busy environment, who enjoys working closely with a variety of people
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion

Job Offer

The successful Group Accountant will be entitled to a competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 along with these other benefits:
