ADHD Teacher/ SEN Teacher - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

North London - Enfield

Start Date: ASAP or in January 2022

£150 - £200 per day

We are now currently recruiting for an ADHD Teacher/ SEN Teacher for SEN Schools within the London Borough Enfield. The job will require you to start ASAP or in January 2022.

The ADHD Teacher post will require you to work full time. There will either be parking available nearby but certainly a local bus route or train station nearby.

All schools will have a long-lasting relationship with RT Education, therefore there maybe potential to go permanent.

Job Description
  • Teaching individuals in groups or individually
  • Providing Teaching Assistances with daily tasks and instructions
  • Supporting the children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Adapting different training methods to suit each child's specific needs
  • Supporting the children's needs and demands as well as emotional well-being
  • Carrying out administrative tasks
  • Attending training on a frequent basis
  • Setting targets and routines
  • Provide impulsiveness in all areas of learning
  • Providing a range of different structured activities to support the child's development in all areas
  • Providing basic first aid
  • Providing a safe learning environment
  • To be consistent in managing behaviour
  • To work under the guidelines of SENCO
  • Using visual materials to support the children
  • To participate in daily observations
  • To assist in eating, dressing and hygiene routines throughout the day whilst encouraging independence
  • May be asked to administrate medication

Person Specification
  • Have experience as an ADHD Teacher/SEN Teacher
  • Need to have a high level of understanding of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have an enhanced children's DBS on the updated service or dates within the last 12months
  • Behaviour management skills with the ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Being an excellent communicator
  • Have a sensitivity and caring approach towards the children and act accordingly towards each child's needs
  • Ability to work alongside teachers and parents for promoting parent partnership
