EBD Teacher / SEN Teacher - Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

North London - Enfield

Start Date: ASAP or in January 2022

£150 - £200 per day

We are now currently recruiting for an EBD Teacher / SEN Teacher for various of SEN Schools within the London Borough Enfield. This job start date will require to start ASAP or in January 2022.

The EBD Teacher within the Enfield Borough Schools will be a full time contract. There will either be parking available nearby but certainly a local bus route or train station nearby.

All schools will have a long-lasting relationship with RT Education, therefore you may be offered a permanent position once you have proven yourself.

Job Description
  • Teaching individuals in groups or individually
  • Preparing lessons and resources
  • Supporting the children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
  • Adapting different training methods to suit each child's specific needs
  • Supporting the children's needs and demands as well as emotional well-being
  • Carrying out administrative tasks
  • Attending annual meetings
  • Attending training on a frequent basis
  • Providing a range of different structured activities to support the child's development in all areas.
  • Providing basic first aid
  • Providing a safe learning environment
  • To be consistent in managing behaviour
  • To liaise regular with the SENCO
  • Creating simple structural planned days for the children to follow
  • Using visual materials to support the children
  • To participate in daily observations
  • To assist in eating, dressing and hygiene routines throughout the day whilst encouraging independence
  • May be asked to administrate medication

Person Specification
  • Have experience as an EBD Teacher / SEN Teacher
  • Need to have a high level of understanding of Emotional and Behavioural Development.
  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have an enhanced children's DBS on the updated service or dates within the last 12months
  • Knowledge of the EYFS
  • Behaviour management skills with the ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Being an excellent communicator
  • Have a sensitivity and caring approach towards the children and act accordingly towards each child's needs
  • Needs to be flexible
  • Ability to work alongside teachers and parents
