Irwin & Colton are delighted to be engaged by a renowned research and development facility to recruit a Health & Wellbeing Manager to join their operational safety team. This position will play a leading role in developing a positive and proactive health and wellbeing culture across the business.

The organisation is a diverse institution including scientific, R&D and laboratory environments, and health and wellbeing is a top priority. The successful candidate will join a well-established team of technical professionals operating across various specialisms.

Responsibilities for the Health and Wellbeing Manager will include:

• Managing, developing and training Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA)
• Taking the lead for all health and wellbeing advice and activities
• Leading on the development and implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives
• Working alongside the HR and occupational health and safety team on a variety of projects
• Leading on the development and provision of wellbeing training and support

The successful Health and Wellbeing Manager will have:

• Proven experience in a similar health & wellbeing role, ideally from within scientific research, universities, containment facilities, or similar environment
• Relevant qualifications within clinical, physical or mental health areas or equivalent.
• Proven delivery of health and wellbeing strategies and action plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience influencing and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
