Global Events Manager

Up to £40,000 + bonuses

We are looking for an experienced Global Events Manager based in the UK. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as it grows its number of events and members in the coming years.

To be successful you will have had experience in organising large Corporate Events for over 1000 attendees ideally, and across numerous countries. This role will involve being very "hands on" and include travel to organise sites and attend events. It is essential that you have a can-do attitude and are able to deliver events on time and within budget.

Reporting direct to the chairperson but working with all members for the organizations board, your responsibilities will include:
  • Execution of the organization's event strategy
  • Work with key internal and external stake holders to ensure all event requirements are specified and delivered
  • Project manage the delivery each event on time, to the expected standard and within budget
  • Negotiate with event site organisers, stand holders, sponsors, etc.
  • Procurement of catering, accommodation, travel, audiovisual / IT equipment and rental needs
  • Work with marketing and advertisers and provide regular event updates/communication
  • Organize and attend preparation meetings prior to and during the events
  • Co-ordinate and procurement of event merchandise
  • Logistics, travel and hotel management for key stakeholders
  • Sales & co-ordination of registrations
  • Conduct supply chain checks
  • Administrate the organizations online community portal

This role can be home based, with a requirement to travel to meetings and events across the world when required. A key aspect will be to be the central liaison for a board that all have other busy roles as CEO's or Sales Directors of their businesses and also others contracted to provide specific services or objectives ranging from content provision, presentation and direction, facility building, marketing, sponsor liaison, special interest group leads or marketing. You will be the first full time employee of organisation so will need to be self-motivated, organized and a great communicator.

Bonuses will be based on three criteria
  • Quality of feedback from sponsors & attendees
  • Number of attendees at events
  • Profitability of the event
