Accounts Assistant required to start a role ASAP in Northampton on a temporary basis. Previous purchase ledger experience is essential!

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to fulfil an ongoing temporary position with the potential for the role to go permanent.

The role reports to the Financial Accountant and will be responsible for the entire purchase ledger process from Purchase Orders through to invoices, payments and reconciliations as well as providing support to the wider finance team.

The day to day responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:

- Matching, verifying and coding invoices

- Preparing payment runs

- Process staff expenses

- Resolve supplier queries

- Set up new supplier accounts and update existing account details

- Reconcile the supplier statements

- File invoices

- Manage the petty cash
