Reed are excited to be partnered with an organisation in the UK that have more than doubled in size and turnover in the past 5 years. With their growing commodity base, they are looking for a Procurement Category Manager to take the lead on a niche, and in demand product line. With great standing and recognition in their market, they are seeking a strong procurement professional to join their expanding team.

Being predominantly remote and field based, you must be confident in setting your own schedule and meeting your own deadlines in an autonomous working environment. This will require travel once per week to their West Wales facility, and meetings on a fortnightly basis with their suppliers around the UK.

Role Overview:

• Developing and Implementing Commodity Strategies to minimise risk and support Ethical sourcing for goods that are incorporated into production of finished goods.

• Display an in depth understanding of legislation, regulations, best practice and trends affecting Procurement and use CI to improve total acquisition cost in area of responsibility.

• Sourcing and procuring a large and varied portfolio (dairy).

• Strong understanding and experience of leading tender processes and writing framework agreements.

• In depth understanding of the wider manufacturing process, particularly in material and capacity planning.

• Wider Food Manufacturing experience will also be considered.

• CIPS or MCIPS Qualified.
