Our global manufacturing client are looking for a Product manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the pipeline systems projects, increasing sales growth, and continuing to develop and expand the automation portfolio for the division.

The role responsibilities:

* Driver of commercial initiatives relating to machine systems impacting the sales growth and profitability of the portfolio

* Product promotion, working with the PSCs to promote automation to key accounts

* Effective product positioning including training as needed on products and applications,

* Annual price update and implementation,

* Planning and executing product rationalisation strategy (product life cycle)

* Publication of sales tools and product support documentation including: data sheets, IOMI's, validation guides and sales guides.

* Competitive benchmarking

* Reporting on competitor activities underlying all product management initiatives.

* Presentations to technical conferences, global webinars, networking including participation in task groups from industry bodies.

* Key contributor to annual forecast activities and monitor of global supply chain

* Provide direct customer support with the sales teams to develop opportunities

* Leadership of commercial projects and bid management

* Support the development of future products in the systems portfolio

* Provide information to enable the market strategy to be updated based on the latest market feedback, trends & competitor activities to drive sustained sales growth

* Develop a tactical marketing plan & supporting collateral

* Provide direct customer support, both technical and commercial, as required with sales and technical support teams to drive sales growth and pipeline development

* Develop and deliver innovative training programs internally and externally

* Implement effective life cycle management of products to maximise profitability and competitive positioning

* Prioritisation of the actions required to grow in the market by defining clear tactical marketing plans

The person we're searching for:

* Minimum degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering/Science field or Computer Science degree with relevant automation experience

* Experience working with automation in Biopharma/GMP settings

* Experience of using problem solving tools and techniques.

* Must be capable of working directly with customers

* Good formal presentation skills

* Good attention to detail, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.

* Can deal with several conflicting demands.

* Ability to build strong and productive working relationships with colleagues and external contacts
