HR & Payroll Assistant
Randstad Engineering are looking for a HR & Payroll Assistant to join DS Smith on a Temp2Perm basis at their Kemsley Paper Mill, in Sittingbourne.
To work as a member of the HR team at Kemsley Mill. The role is varied and covers managing Crown Time & Attendance system to uploading data on Work Day for our Shared Service centre to process payroll to providing regular reports for various stakeholders in the business. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be involved in various HR projects/initiatives and also be responsible for a function within the scope of HR activities which will include a level of administration.
Receive and sort the payroll data on a weekly/monthly basis via the T&A system for Kemsley Mill.
Be responsible and manage the leavers/sickness process.
Run site level payroll on the internal system, working closely with and supporting the Shared Service Centre.
Liaise with Departmental Managers to sort any potential payroll issues.
Deal with payroll queries from employees and/or their managers.
Complete Sickness and Holiday records on the appropriate approved HR systems and prepare sickness statistics for monthly reporting to the wider HR Community.
Be actively involved in the implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
Be the subject matter expert for Crown and be able to implement new projects e.g. Analytics.
Assist the Accounts Department and the Shared Service Centre in all areas as reasonably required.
Previous experience within an HR/Payroll role using a Time & Attendance system.
Previous experience of WorkDay would be advantageous.
Strong Excel skills at intermediate level or above.
