Policy Advisor

London / Leicester

  • Gather political intelligence and engage in regular horizon scanning to identify areas opportunities and threats to the sector
  • Provide guidance and insight into the sector, whilst challenging the status quo in order to facilitate change.
  • Work with members of the Organisation through the boards Committees, Advisory and Task and Finish groups to develop policy positions in priority areas and ensure that our policy outputs are timely, targeted and evidence-based to make impact and inspire policy change
  • Working with the Public Affairs team to provide briefings on policy issues and advice to internal colleagues and member networks on practice-related policy issues.
  • Work with the Research and Evaluation Team to monitor and evaluate the progress of initiatives implemented to enhance the profession
  • Work closely with the public affairs team and the communications team to ensure that the Organisation's work in relation to policy is properly formulated and disseminated, and that key stakeholders within the organisation are fully involved


Policy Advisor

London / Leicester

  • Working background of using research evidence and policy insights to deliver impact and support policy recommendations
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of UK Parliament, Governmental and civil service systems
  • Experience of successfully developing, managing and delivering high quality professional practice products for a professional body or regulator
  • Knowledge of a wide range of engagement and communications techniques
