Welding Fabrication Support / Section Leader / Team Leader
£30,521 per annum (inc shift allowance)
Mornings & Afters (6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm)

As a result of year on year growth, we have a fantastic opportunity to join a well known, Sheffield based, international manufacturing company. This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Team Leader / Section Leader with welding and fabrication knowledge to join their business, whom prides themselves on impressive staff retention rates and an extremely healthy order book.

This role is easily accessible from Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and surrounding areas.
We are looking for an individual that is looking for the next step in their welding career and either has minimal supervisory experience and is looking to develop their management experience whilst still working hands on as a welder or someone that has already worked as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a Fabrication and Welding environment and is looking for their next career move.
Your job will be to accurately fabricate a range of simple bespoke stainless steel products in line with customer requirements whilst also using your man management skills to contribute towards the management of the area. You should be capable of producing components that meet quality standards first time. Day to day duties will include:
* Multi run and fillet welding
* Accurately interpreting customer requirements and reading manufacturing drawings
* Fabricating bespoke components up to 15mm thick in Stainless, Mild & Carbon Steel
* Implement Continuous Improvement ideas within the area
* Organise shifts and overtime requirements
* Ensure production schedules are met
* Develop risk assessments within the area
* Manage any planned and reactive maintenance tasks
* Responsible for Health and Safety in the area
* Identify training needs within the team and contribute towards their each individual personal development.
