This excellent position, with potential of an immediate start, as a Payroll Manager, based in Wilmslow, has an attractive hourly pay between £19.00 and £22.00. This is a 9 month temporary position, has the flexibility of hybrid working.

Description

The key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to;
  • Manage the delivery of a professional, proactive, and effective pay and pension service
  • Ensure the organisation and staff receive accurate and efficient services, regarding their pay and other benefits
  • To work closely with HR colleagues to ensure information exchanged is accurate
  • Lead on the development and review of all relevant policies and procedures
  • Liaise with, and contract manage, payroll, pension, and benefit providers
  • Manage the team, ensuring performance and professional development is provided
  • Ensure policies and procedures are in place and implemented
  • Respond to any pay related queries
  • Work with HR colleagues to ensure that the HR database is managed effectively to improve efficiency
  • To manage and monitor the effectiveness of contracts
  • Assist in the department management by monitoring services, producing regular and accurate reports, using the information to improve services and standards

Profile

The successful candidate must possess the following skill set and experience;
  • Experience working in HR/payroll environment at graduate level or qualifications to level 5
  • At least 5 year's experience in a payroll role
  • Experience using databases and financial systems
  • Maintain third party contacts and relationships with external providers
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and payroll practice
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • The ability to improve and implement changes
  • To manage budgets and achieve value for money effectively
  • Experience with leadership and management of a team
