Morson International are working with the UK's leading independent construction company and have available an urgent requirement for a PM within our client's IT Services Division.

The successful applicant will be responsible for projects across the Central region of England based from Birmingham. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the project of structured cabling contract (Data LAN Service, Voice Cabling Service, On-site support and Berthing) for military sites in and around Birmingham.

The Project Manager will control the overall operational delivery of projects, inclusive of the Health and safety, technical, commercial and managerial requirements, from bid, pre-commencement to practical completion. Ensuring that profitability is maintained or improved through effective leadership. Provision of high quality customer service and interface with relevant support functions allocated to the project, e.g. planning, commercial, technical and safety, etc.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the Structured Cabling and Datacom Market Place, evident experience of project delivery, design appreciation and ability to understand specifications and drawings. It is also desirable to have an understanding of National Security Inspectorate (NSI) process and requirements related to electronic security systems.
This position is working across military sites, therefore Security Clearance is required and is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Bid Activity - To participate within bid activity as requested by the senior management and to work in conjunction with the Business Development department and in line with Focus Win processes.
Business Planning and Budgeting - Provide input in the preparation of the business plans and budgets accurately based on the initial contract parameters and objectives. Seeking opportunities to provide actions which maximises profit on the project. Continue to monitor the profitability of contracts using appropriate management accountant techniques.
Monthly Reviews - Provide appropriate input to all monthly reviews in line with the business procedures to ensure that the senior management have full knowledge of the completion and financial status of the project until completion.
Project Delivery - To manage all related activities to the successful completion of the projects. In line with agreed quality and commercial plans to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints.
Relationships with Customers - Ensure that positive relationships are maintained with the customer through efficient delivery of projects with a view to optimising future opportunities and profitability.
Technical - Ensuring design and installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements
Requirements

Evident of project delivery experience
Building services experience in a construction environment
Design appreciation and ability to understand specifications and drawings
UKATA (CAT A) Asbestos Awareness
CSCS Card for Managers
NACCOSS - NSI Certification
Project Management Certification preferably APM or Prince 2 Foundation
IOSH Managing Safely
Relevant experience in the Structured Cabling and Datacom Market Place (Desirable)
Understanding of National Security Inspectorate (NSI) process and requirements related to electronic security systems (Desirable)
Cisco partner audit programme (Desirable)
