The Spark44 team creates brand communications, delivering award-winning creative and marketing effectiveness across end-to-end customer communications .

The Role

Reporting into the Jaguar and Land Rover Account Directors, the focus of this role is to operate as a key Account Manager for the UK National Comms and Social team. The role will involve leading and supporting across a variety of projects on both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands - from managing TTL big product launches to organic BAU social, delivering brand partnership communications to always on digital display. This position requires someone who can manage expectations, multi-task, communicate effectively and efficiently deliver projects against timelines. The Account Manager is a highly motivated individual with a passion for creative, building relationships and developing effective campaigns for two of Britain's most prestigious brands.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management
  • Act as the "go-to-person" for UK National Communications - working on brand partnerships, brand campaigns and new product launches acting as an advisor on all areas of workflow that relate to the projects you are responsible for
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders, and support to the JLR National Communications Marketing Managers
  • Ensure the JLR Marketing Manager's understand agreed workflows and manage them through the delivery process - showing flexibility where tenable and providing practical advice to achieve a solution
  • Be able to work effectively and efficiently with both clients and other JLR agencies such as Dentsu, StoryLabs, and Sizmek across multiple projects
  • Confident presenter, able to deliver ideas persuasively - and result in the progression of excellent and effective national and social advertising

Creative Development
  • Act as a Brand Guardian, immersing yourself in all Jaguar and Land Rover product developments and be able to advise on industry trends and developments both inside Spark44 & Accenture Interactive, whilst working with client/other agencies
  • Clearly communicate and support the Creative Team with the Client's brief, ensuring the Client's voice is not lost, but the creative boundaries are still pushed
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of the creative process - managing expectations and time pressures, including managing creative resourcing
  • Establish an excellent "eye" for creative output, recognising strong creative work and when work could be improved
  • Be able to express personal opinions on creative work which are strategically sound & carefully thought through and be prepared to debate & defend these both internally and with Clients in way that is constructive not confrontational
  • Understanding of key performance metrics to audit campaign success, including social metrics

  • Working closely and collaboratively with production/project management to ensure work is progressed through the delivery process and completed: on time, on brief and on budget
  • Working closely and collaboratively with the UK Strategy team for the creation of Creative briefs
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and extremely high standards to act as an example to junior members of the account team
  • Good experience working on projects with multiple agencies/stakeholders
  • Deliver work to an exceptional standard, ensuring that everything that has been briefed has been actioned before client presentation
  • Attend client-facing meetings (when required), providing a supporting role to the Account Director when they are presenting to the client
  • Be responsible for creating and ensuring the client-facing Contact Reports are produced from ALL client meetings - using the Contact Report Agency templates
  • Be responsible for writing all necessary Creative Development briefs after the client meetings

Commercial Acumen
  • Navigate the Client Partner's approval process through to PO receipt, ensuring the Finance Team are fully aware
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements & SLAs of the account - escalating when necessary to avoid commercial risk
  • Managing JLR budgets with clients and the S44 finance team

Person Specification
  • Integrated marketing experience essential: ATL, social, digital and with production
  • Experience of paid social and dynamic digital display
  • Good understanding of all social channels, formats and platform trends
  • Experience of asset adaptation
  • Experience working with media agencies on campaign planning, delivery and reporting across all ATL channels and social
  • Thorough understanding of the creative, artwork and delivery processes - where applicable for both offline and online communications
  • Able to articulate and present ideas with conviction
  • A strong team player
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems based on sound technical knowledge
  • A clear communicator, in person and writing - with fluent oral and written Business English
  • Excellent time management/prioritisation and project management skills
  • Commercially aware
  • IT literate with good MS excel and powerpoint
  • Approachable, outgoing and diplomatic - must have excellent emotional intelligence
  • Comfortable building strong connections with the wider Account Management function globally
  • Passionate about getting others involved and having fun along the way
