A 3 month interim role, working for a Central Government body, looking for an experienced Correspondence Manager, sitting as part of the wider Marketing and Communications team.

Our client, who partner with different client departments to look at best value outcomes and greater workplace solutions across the wider government, are a team of experts who have a deep skill-set and a broad range of experience when it comes to a portfolio led approach to providing advice and insight.

Description

The key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to;
  • Provides advice and guidance to staff and managers
  • Act as point of contact for day-to-day written or verbal advice and consultation to key stakeholders and senior officials
  • Ensure draft responses to reports and correspondence are compliant and in line with the relevant policies/legislation i.e FOI's, SAR (GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018)
  • Ensure contributions from senior managers in response to Parliamentary Questions, Treat Official letters, Freedom of Information enquiries are prepared in accordance with the requirements of statutory legislation.

Profile

The successful candidate must possess the following skillset;
  • Ideally some experience of dealing with Parliamentary Questions and FOIs would be advantageous.
  • Good stakeholder relationship management - having the ability to establish relationships with internal/external stakeholders incl. Ministerial offices.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Experience of working in a high-volume casework environment.
  • Good organisational skills, systematic and ordered approach.
  • Working at pace to short deadlines.
  • Able to assert urgency and importance of the correspondence and submissions to internal stakeholders so that action is taken and requests are delivered on time.

Job Offer

On offer to the candidate;
  • An interim role, for an initial 3 month period, with possibility of further extension;
  • Between £350- £400 a day in rate;
  • Lots of flexibility and hybrid working available.
