Warehouse Automation Test Manager - Manchester - Up to £700 Day Rate (12 - 18 Month Contract)

Job Overview

As the Warehouse Automation Test Manager, this role will ensure that as the Group moves to an Automated environment across all Brands, it transitions in as seamless a manner as possible with minimal/no disruption to the operation.

The Warehouse Automation Test Manager role will lead a Team of Testers to ensure that conceptual design is translated into a fit for purpose working solution.

As a Test Manager, this role will look to develop and grow a Team of software Testers, whilst instilling best practice Testing Methodology and also identifying talent and nurturing it to create a Succession Plan for the future

Experienced Test Manager in an Automated Environment (preferably E-Commerce)
Experience of Automation Vendors
Strong Microsoft Package Skills in Excel/Access
Experience of defect recording software such as JIRA
Degree Level Candidate
Articulate and able to communicate at all levels
Able to work in a diverse, ever developing, fast paced environment
A strong character who will challenge where appropriate
Team Player who will manage and develop the Team Warehouse Automation Test Manager - Responsibilities

Understanding of FDS/GUI Spec and evaluate based on past experience
An understanding of the current Operational Procedures and how these will transition with Automation
Creation of Test Scripts (for both WMS and WCS related functions)
Creation of a Test Schedule in line with overall Project Timelines
Testing at all levels - Unit Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Volume Testing
Creating reporting tools to clearly and concisely show the progress of Testing at all levels to relevant Stakeholders
Ensuring Testing results are logged and defects/bugs are reported back to all relevant Stakeholders
Management of the documentation of bugs/defects, whilst ensuring that each one is followed through to the point of fix
Liaising with Internal and 3rd Party Automation Suppliers to ensure that current legacy systems and 3rd Party software are aligned
Attending Steering Board Meeting when required
Managing and developing a Team of Testers in best practice testing principles
Mentoring Test Team to identify and develop future talent to create self sufficiency About Us
