I am currently recruiting a Group Tax Manager for our client based in Cambridgeshire but who offer remote working for this position. You will be a recently qualified accountant and/or tax advisor (ACA/ACCA/CTA) - CTA preferred. This role would be perfect for that first move out of practice.
You will be solely responsible for managing all tax related work (supported by external advisors), reporting into the Group Finance Manager.
You will work alongside a central finance team of 5 and be involved with all finance related matters. You will liaise internationally with a finance team of approximately 15 across the world.
Ownership and management of compliance/planning process for direct and indirect taxes alongside international finance team and/or external advisors for 17 countries and to act as a key contact in this respect. This will entail preparation and/or review of local CIT returns and GST/VAT Returns.
Key operating jurisdictions being US, Finland, Ireland and Japan, but also a wide presence across North America, Europe and Asia
Completion of tax returns for UK CIT Returns for 4 companies in house
UK share option filing.
Responsible for the Group's tax reporting and forecasting. Including working with auditors for year-end reporting, both centrally for the Group and for local statutory accounts/returns
Support legal and sales teams with customer sales tax queries as necessary..
Opportunity to be support a business with M&A aspirations, through both due diligence stage and transition
Advise on UK and international indirect tax issues.
Keeping up to date with changes in legislation in the UK and internationally and assessing the impact on the business
Review/maintenance/implementation of the group's transfer pricing policy and documentation.
You will have experience and sound knowledge of VAT, employment tax and corporation tax principles essential for application Globally, including ability to identify risk areas such as potential permanent establishments. Experience or awareness of transfer pricing principles and their application.
The team works remotely and you should be comfortable working from home with respect to time management, and engaging with other members of the team virtually. You should be prepared to travel to Huntingdon on average once per month to attend team meetings.
