We are looking for a Capital EC&I Engineering Projects Manager based in Telford. Reporting to Site Director / Site Engineering CAPEX Lead.

This is a full time role for a 12 month contract. Site based with free parking on site with staff shop, canteen which is subsidised.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Delivery of a portfolio of Capital Projects from initial concept through to completion and handover
To provide leadership of business-critical projects, management of project plans and multi-disciplinary project teams to time and budget.
To develop business cases to justify Capital expenditure with comprehensive analysis of the project scope and alternatives.
To manage the procurement, installation and commissioning of Capital Projects for New Product Development, EHS, Legislative, Replacement & Benefits driven projects
To manage Health and Safety associated with engineering and construction projects
To develop detailed specifications for equipment and systems
Use technical expertise to define technical requirements for projects and liaise with suppliers and contractors to create engineering solutions
Co-ordinate and lead project implementation, installation and testing phases of key projects
Ensure solutions are safely implemented and compliant with legislation and site standards THE CANDIDATE:

We are looking for a self-motivated professional with considerable engineering expertise across a diverse range of FMCG industries where continued service/product supply is essential.
Experience in the design, delivery and implementation of Automation and Controls projects would be advantageous.
Experience in OT/IT infrastructure projects, including Server Room security, integrity and construction.
Process Historian implementation, Network and Hardware upgrades and knowledge of Bar-code and Date code verification projects would fit well with the planned projects for the 2021 & 2022 Annual Operational Plan
Process knowledge of ingredient handling, liquid addition and cooking processes would also be beneficial, as we are looking at potential Kitchen upgrades and replacements.
It is essential to be a great communicator and team player, as the project team is small, but has numerous customers, with diverse needs.
Projects can range from £10K - £3M, with no two projects the same, but the same level of delivery is required
The ability to quickly understand the internal customer requirements, by guiding their solutions, rather than providing them at the onset, to allow the best-out.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Projects are executed efficiently to maximise operating income whilst ensuring that all quality, environmental and safety requirements are met.
Managing a team of engineers and technical support personnel to provide a professional project management service, ensuring that equipment and production systems are provided, which meet objectives of performance, time and cost. In addition, to support projects in other parts of the European business where specific expertise is required.
Compliance with Health and Safety, legislative requirements and engineering standards (e.g. CDM 2015, Health and Safety at Work etc) with appropriate updates to company systems and procedures.
Identify and develop opportunities for improvement to existing equipment and systems to maximise the efficiency and output of manufacturing operations
Create requirement specifications and scopes of works, evaluate technical options, and make recommendations to business
Liaise with suppliers, site contractors, site management, engineers, operatives, safety professionals, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met safely, on time, and within budget, and installations are fit for purpose
Fully control engineering works associated with projects using Site permit system, Control-of contractor system, regular audits, and other appropriate methods
Ensure that Company procedures, standards, CAPEX processes and policies are adhered to
Ongoing site attendance during the construction phase of projects is necessary with some weekend and some out of hours working may be required
