Our client is a Fibre alt-net telecoms company building fibre networks across Scotland and Northern England, and we're looking for an enthusiastic Head of People to join their growing team in this brand new role. It's an exciting opportunity to play a pro-active role in shaping and designing the people function for the business.

Their HQ is located at Berwick-Upon-Tweed which is 45 minutes from Edinburgh and 45 minutes from Newcastle, and you would be spending 1-2 days in the office per week.

Your day-to-day duties will include implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation. You'll support managers with their recruitment plans, employment legislation whilst consistently sharing best practice with them. Your role will include managing any complex employee relations casework which may arise, as well as acting as liaison between the company and outside professional resources.

You'll ideally have a degree in HR or a related business field, however, our client values your work experience and knowledge gained through your work as a HR generalist. It's a fast-paced growing company, therefore exceptional organisational and communication skills are required together with proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.

As always, our client promotes an inclusive high-performance culture where teams feel empowered. Everyone is given the opportunity to develop new skills, aim higher and accelerate their careers and you will play a pivotal part in this.
