Sales Ledger Manager - 12 month FTC (future opportunities)

Based: Bolton (hybrid working office/home)

Salary: highly dependent on experience, excellent benefits and exciting company!

Our client is a well-known, leading retail business who have experienced rapid growth for the last 10 years. Diversifying into numerous new markets, they are a market leader in their industry with plans to continue offering further products and services across all their divisions. Due to an increase in acquisitions and business, the company now require a strong Sales Ledger & Billing Manager who can train/lead a team and be involved in implementing KPI's, processes to drive business forward

The role will be a 12 month contract initially with strong possibility of future opportunities in a similar/bigger role
  • Managing a team of 13 (2 direct reports) servicing 500 clients (growing)
  • Leading and developing the team ensuring high levels of engagement
  • Driving transformation and process improvement across billing and credit control
  • Responsibility for debtors ledger and month end processes
  • Introducing automation to improve accuracy of the invoicing process
  • Developing the Credit Control and query management processes to reduce debtor days and deliver improved customer service
  • Producing management information and KPI reporting on team performance and risk
  • Managing and implementing processes around credit risk ensuring robust due diligence of customer accounts and credit limits
  • Managing internal stakeholders business partnering with all business units
  • Liaising with external stakeholders and managing financial audit process
  • Settling SLA's and reporting performance against SLA's
  • Supporting the business unit in new customer tenders, customer onboarding and other projects
  • Involvement in wider ERP transformation project for the future

  • Experience managing a high volume transactional team is essential
  • Experience driving performance through KPI's is essential
  • Experience establishing and improving processes across ledger activities
  • Experience implementing new systems would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and Excel skills essential
  • CICM qualifications advantageous
